Hey Kodiak ("we", "us") is based in Richmond, BC. This policy explains what personal information we collect through heykodiak.com, why, and your choices. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
What we collect
- Information you send us in a form: your name, email, phone number, business name, website, city and message.
- Basic, privacy-friendly analytics about how the site is used (pages viewed, device type, approximate region). We do not use advertising cookies on this site.
- Technical data needed to protect our forms from spam, processed by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request, prepare your free visibility check, and schedule calls.
- To send you messages you have agreed to receive. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To keep the site secure and working.
Consent and messages
When you submit a form and tick the consent box, you agree that we may contact you about your request by email, text or phone. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or emailing hello@heykodiak.com. We follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Who processes it
We use trusted service providers to run the site and our CRM, including Cloudflare (hosting and spam protection) and our CRM and messaging platform. They may store data outside BC or Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry records as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records, then delete them. Client records are kept as required for accounting and legal purposes.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email hello@heykodiak.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for BC or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
